Students received valuable career advice and practiced their interviewing skills at ChemE Day on Tuesday, Feb. 5. The department’s annual career and resume workshop and networking event drew 11 industry partners and over 150 students.
“ChemE Day served as the perfect introduction to talk with representatives from a variety of industries,” said Tipton Lichtenstein, a third-year chemical engineering student.
The event allowed students like Lichtenstein to meet with the companies’ representatives, learn about the opportunities available, and what to expect at the interview, then go home and do some additional research and preparation before Career Showcase.
“The person that interviewed me at Career Showcase was the same person I spoke with at ChemE Day, talking to him for a second time definitely improved my confidence,” said Lichtenstein.
