The UF Department of Chemical Engineering’s graduate program rose to No. 14, from its previous No. 19, according to the 2021 U.S. News & World Report Best Graduate Schools Ranking.

“We are grateful that our peers recognize the efforts of our faculty and students, and for the tremendous support we’ve received in recent years from the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering,” said Carlos M. Rinaldi-Ramos, Ph.D., Department of Chemical Engineering chair and Dean’s Leadership Professor.

U.S. News & World Report weighs factors such as reputation, research activity and student selectivity to rank the top graduate engineering schools.

“I look forward to working with our faculty, staff, students, and alumni to continue to grow and transform our department to better train chemical engineers to serve the needs of Florida, the U.S., and the world,” Dr. Rinaldi-Ramos said.
