The CHE student center

The University of Florida is among the best institutions in the country to study Chemical Engineering. As a ChemE student, you will be welcomed and mentored by a diverse community that will support your efforts now and after graduation. In addition to offering a top-quality education, here are a few other ways:

  • We strongly support various ChemE-focused student organizations such as our student chapter of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), and competition teams, such as Chem-E Car and Chem-E Cube through travel awards, scholarships and funds to attend conferences, and to support professional development.
  • The Chemical Engineering Peer Advisors (ChEPAs) is an organization composed of
upper-level students dedicated to mentoring new students.
  • Our renovated student center reopened in February 2025. This building has over 2,000 sq ft of dedicated space for students to meet, study, and attend student organization meetings and functions (including game nights!) Our alumni funded this space to support you.
