An elite team of student scientists and their “cube” qualified for the AIChE ChemE Cube national finals recently through a virtual presentation. The presenting team consisted of Abigail Andal, Alexandrya Aven, Camille Grimaldi, Joel Gritmon and Kage Jones.
They will be traveling to the 2025 National AIChE Conference, which will be held in Boston this November. Their task will be to create a modular, direct-air capture mini-plant with both adsorption and regeneration that can fit within one cubic foot and should be marketable as a modular CO2 capture device. It should create an impact by demonstrating technological breakthroughs, be able to address a market and benefit humanity.
