Sarathy K. Gopalakrishnan, a Ph.D. candidate in the University of Florida Department of Chemical Engineering, was awarded the best student poster presentation award and a $500 cash prize at the 2021 Aluminum Summit in Nashville, TN, on Sept. 14-16, 2021.

Gopalakrishnan presented his research on “Strategies to improve the pattern transfer of Anodized Aluminum Oxide nanopores on hydrophobic polymers,” which is conducted in the lab of Kirk J. Ziegler, Ph.D., Associate Chair for Graduate Studies and Dow Chemical Company Foundation Professor.

The 2021 Aluminum Summit was organized by The Aluminum Anodizers Council (AAC) and the Aluminum Extruders Council (AEC).
